What is important to us? About our 4 values and their impact on our work
Since the beginning, we had a clear mission: to cultivate a set of values that guide our every step and truly define who we are. Throughout our years of growth, we've not only embraced these values, but also made it our mission to share them with our customers, partners, and colleagues. Values at Semantive
The values that currently guide us at Semantive are:
- We focus on cooperation
- We keep our word
- We are ambitious
- We focus on transparency
Cooperation - we know that the best results are achieved when we work together. That's why we focus on collaboration, both within the team and with our customers and partners. Together we can achieve more, and our clients appreciate our open and collaborative approach.
Ambition - we always strive to be the best at what we do. Our ambition and passion for daily work make us constantly strive for excellence and persistently raise the bar for ourselves and our clients.
Keeping our word - we believe that keeping our word is the foundation of health business and lasting relationships with customers and partners. Therefore, we always strive to meet our commitments and deadlines.
Transparency - we focus on transparency and honesty in our daily work. We are transparent with customers, partners and within the team. This allows us to build lasting relationships and earn the trust of our clients.
From my perspective, the 2 most important values at Semantive are development and transparency.
I especially see it in how the development budget can be used and that I am encouraged to use it regularly. I have no problem using it even for something not always strongly related to my current responsibilities, but more to future prospects, But development is not only related to work progress, but it’s also a personal development (and teamwork in general). Both whole-Semantive and team integrations are a super thing to develop friendships, improve interpersonal skills and team chemistry.
On transparency: the thing I see most at Summits: it's cool that even something that didn't work out is described, and that we are not ashamed as a company of failures. This gives me the impression that we don't work in a strictly business approach (where we only brag about achievements and avoid talking about failures, or whitewash them), but in a more life-like version, where failures are a normal part of the process, sometimes even more productive in terms of experience, than success.

How we work with values everyday
Semantive's values are not just slogans on paper - we put them into everyday practice. We focus on transparency, communication and openness in our work. We regularly hold workshops where we discuss our values and strive to better understand them. This ensures that every team member knows what is important to us and what behaviors are desirable.
An example of our approach is our recruitment process. We are very thorough in selecting candidates, because we are committed to finding people who share our values and will work effectively in the team. In the recruitment process, we not only assess the candidates' skills, but also their approach to working in a team and their attitude to the values that are important to us. We called this stage “culture fit”.
Semantive's values are important to us because they define us as an organization and help achieve our goals. Through them, we build lasting relationships with customers, partners and colleagues. Our values are not fixed - they evolve with our growth and experiences. As we gain new experiences and learn from our mistakes, our people and organization grow, and our values become more precise and complex.
I believe that Semantive's values reflect very well the nature of our organization and the most important guiding principles. Our values are transparent, realistic, and most importantly - based on mutual respect and a common desire for success.
For me, the most important thing at work is transparency and cooperation. At Semantive, we show a lot of trust in each other, often give each other feedback, take responsibility for our mistakes, and work together to implement appropriate changes. In difficult situations, I can always count on support, getting a second opinion, or at least a motivating conversation. The cordiality we show to each other also affects the quality of our work.
What's more, I very much appreciate the open communication in the organization - as employees we are very aware of the actions taken not only within our team but also by the company as a whole. This awareness of common direction and purpose is very encouraging, gives me a sense of belonging, and helps me understand the business aspects of certain decisions.
