How often do we meet? About all hands meetings at Semantive
Imagine joining a new team. You work remotely, you get the equipment you need to work from home, which is very convenient and makes it easy for you to get started. You already know a few people at the new company, certainly, the recruiter you met during the interviews, you also know someone from the operations team who talked to you about the contract, took care of you while you were joining the new place, and of course you got to know your leader. You also have a Buddy, the person who will answer all your questions at the start and help you enter the company without stress. You start working, meetings, projects, talk to people on the slack, feel a really cool and open atmosphere and the thought that goes through your mind is that it would be nice to meet in person.
We think so too! Nothing can replace live contact, especially when you are a group that really likes each other and enjoys spending time with each other. That's why we organize an integration for the whole Semantive team at least once every 2-3 months, we also have budgets for integrations in smaller teams and, most importantly, we have a say in what will happen at all these events.

We organize integrations in larger teams, and always listen to the voice from the rest of the company - integration by the sea? Good idea! Do we want to meet for more than 1 day? Let's do it! Of course, we work during the integration, we have meetings with clients - nothing interferes with our work. But at the same time, we organize Summits, during which we very openly discuss the current state of Semantive, plans for development, or lessons learned, which add a lot to our experience. And in addition, we have time for team-building games and integrations after working hours.
We started as a team of a few people, which has developed over the years, creating a group of people full of passion and commitment. We are constantly growing and creating a company focused on a positive atmosphere in the workplace and continuous development of our teams. Currently, we have over 50 people on board from various parts of Poland and even the world, so organizing an integration meeting is a challenge for us. So what is our recipe for success?
Our integration meetings are organized well in advance. We currently have events planned for the rest of this year. Thanks to the fact that each of our employees knows exactly when we will meet, they can prepare for these meetings well in advance.
What kind of team building do we organize? We try to be creative and surprise our team. We've already created a Goldberg machine, we've been to the seaside, we've organized talks in smaller groups where we found out who would survive a zombie apocalypse and why, what they would take to a deserted island and what dish they would give themselves for, as well as what interesting things we've recently Googled.
After each such trip, we send out feedback on what could have gone better, what worked, and what ideas we have for future events. An awards gala? A flight into space? We are ambitious about such challenges and are not afraid of them. We know it sounds like a cliche, but we truly believe that the atmosphere and the company are created by people and their common goals. And how much fun we have in our company and how long we reminisce about past integrations only makes us sure of that!
