About technical recruitment at Semantive

On our website you can regularly find new open roles - we are often looking for specialists and exceptional people to join our team. We are a cloud services provider, and we have AWS and Google Cloud, and Microsoft tools in our tech stack. As for the must have skills, for example, the necessary minimum for the position of Cloud Developer at our company is a good knowledge of Python, knowledge of good development practices, and very good knowledge of English (at least B2+ level).

Stages of the technical recruitment process

During the recruitment process at Semantive, you can expect two stages:

  • screening, the recruiter has a chance to get to know your expectations, as well as talk about your work experience in relation to the role you happen to be interviewing for. Such an interview lasts about half an hour.
  • After this part, if both parties are willing to continue the conversation, we see each other at the so-called technical stage. In this part, you can expect some kind of case study with some, practical questions from the technical person on our side. Soft skills are also very important to us, so we always talk about each other's needs in terms of communication, feedback, values, and work culture. This stage lasts one hour.

Over the next 7 days, we provide feedback (both positive and negative).

What happens next?

If everything went well and we gave positive feedback then, first of all, we wait for the decision to accept the offer 😉 After the interview, we send the offer with all the details, plus the contact to the people in our back office department - from this point they  will be in constant contact with the candidate, and soon the new team member. 

While we are waiting for the online questionnaires to be filled out, we are working on establishing a Buddy for the new person, and we also plan onboarding on a weekly and monthly basis. We take great care to ensure that a new team member feels fully taken care of before joining Semantive. Especially considering that we work fully remotely.
